Situation of human rights of Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar

The present report is prepared pursuant to Human Rights Council resolutions 56/1 and 62/3 and it presents findings on the human rights crisis in Myanmar, particularly due to military violence, on the further deteriorations of the situation of the Rohingya at the hands of the Arakan Army and the military, and it also analyses how illicit economies, with particular focus on rare earths mining, and unrelenting violence fueled a “conflict economy” that exposed the civilian populations to untold sufferings. The report covers the period between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026.
