The first one, from 10 to 14 June 2019, will include sessions on international human rights standards, human rights documentation and interviewing skills, and physical and digital security training.

The second five-day training, from 7 to 11 October 2019, will cover international human rights treaties, UN human rights mechanisms, advocacy with the media, and cooperation with UN human rights mechanisms, state institutions and civil society organisations.

Applicants should be human rights defenders working on civil and political rights; economic, social and cultural rights; children's rights; labour rights; refugee and migrant rights; community human rights defenders; land rights activists; environmental human rights defenders; LGBTI rights, indigenous rights or others.

Women human rights defenders and human rights defenders operating in the provinces are encouraged to apply.
