BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to Human Rights Council Resolution 47/11 of 12 July 2021, five regional seminars were mandated to discuss the contribution of development to the enjoyment of all human rights. Each two-day seminar has two region-specific thematic focuses.  This series builds on a one-day intersessional held on 28 May 2021. A report with the conclusions and recommendations of the series will be presented to the UN Human Rights Council in September 2023.
