Since the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, the principles of equality and non-discrimination have been at the heart of the UN’s efforts to protect and promote human rights around the world. Join us and our partners in the Asia Pacific this Human Rights Day as we #StandUp4HumanRights and equality together. Starting from today we will be sharing some of the people, the faces, the voices and the talent from across the Asia-Pacific – all together saying in one voice: We are #AllHumanAllEqual. Let’s rebuild better, fairer and greener. Stay tuned: more to come.

This year the UN family across Asia and the Pacific is marking Human Rights Day by uniting for the campaign, “All human, all equal,” bringing together the voices of rights holders from across the region through five films and a photo exhibition over five weeks, all launched on Human Rights Day 2021.

The regional celebrations of Human Rights Day 2021 are led by the UN Asia-Pacific Issue-based coalition on Human Rights, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (IBC) composed of OHCHR, UNFPA, UN Women (co-chairs), and ESCAP, FAO, ILO, IOM, UNAIDS, UNDP, UNDRR, UNEP, UNESCO, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNIDO, UNODC and WFP, and the Asia-Pacific Human Rights Working Group which links to United Nations Country Teams across the region.
