Thailand: Sansiri commits to UN Global Standards of Conduct for Business

May 26, 2020/in All Posts, Event, Uncategorized /by todd pitman

Sansiri became the first Thai company committing to the United Nations Global Standards of Conduct for Business to tackle discrimination against LGBTI. Attending the signing ceremony with Sansiri and UNDP Thailand on 26 May 2020, UN Human Rights Officer Badar Farrukh said that the adoption is an important step for the private sector to help foster diversity and promote a culture of respect and equality in the workplace and the community.

“Violence and discrimination against LGBTI people cannot be ended by governments and inter-governmental organizations alone. Private sector and businesses can play a major role in this regard,” Farrukh stressed.
